octogan sheffield, seen em about 4 times before but always at fetivals and its not same is it?? was rammed in octogan for 1st part of gig and so was not that enjoyable but then we found a quieter spot and they started banging out some proper tunes so it turned proper sweet. wasn't really expecting them to be that good but ended up really enjoying it.

at the plug was only £2 so i thought whynot?? glad i did though cos they are really good. again the support weren't up to much but fratellis were sweet, despite there not being that many people there they put on a good show. so good infact that i've got tickets to see them again twice so they impressed me definatley.

the plug sheffield, i had heard one song (once and never again) and i thought it was brilliant i just couldn't stop listening to it. so i bought tickets to go and see them, had to go with my ex-boyfriend cos no-1 else could afford it but it was still good. the support band were weird though, the lovers basically a french couple singing love songs to each other over electric dance music, very strange. the longblondes were sweet though, the lead singer is cool as fuck, really enjoyed them, definatley worth seeing.

leadmill sheffield, now i've seen a lot of bands and i knew they were gonna be good but they were 100 times better than i ever would have guessed. they were so together and in time that it was freaky (but good). their songs were fantatsic even though it was the first time i'd heard most of them. the crowd were going wild, it was the happiest night of my life i think i just couldn't stop smiling. ever since that night i have been desperate for their album and now its here and its the best. it was a very good night and i fell in love with carl barat.

the plug sheffield. was still a bit rough from streets cos i stayed out all night after streets and most of friday so i'd not had that much sleep. glc is like a proper party, there are so many of them on stage and they are all soo excited and bouncy that u can't help but enjoy yourself. i imagined them to be a bit of a joke but there set was suprisingly organised and together only dissapointment is that they dint sign soapbar, other than that they were spot on.

they were supported by bez's band dunno what they were called but they were fucked!!! not that you'd expect anything else but the guitarist kept sitting down on the front of the stage cos he couldn't stand up and they had to play the same song twice cos they couldn;t manage owt else.

sweet as fuck!!! at leadmill in sheffield, was very excited for ages building up to the gig. i got a bit too fucked and although i can only really remember about 3 songs i can remember being blown away by them. i'd read reviews that they weren't really up to much live but i swear they were fantastic. they even came into the club night after the gig and stayed out with everybody.

sheffield arena, i hate arena gigs anyway but in my humble opinion if you've paid £45 to go and see a band (and sit at the back) they should put on a good show, especially considering they've been doing it for over 10 years. their setlist was brilliant a lot of old classics and i was very suprised and elated when they sang masterplan. the crowd as usual at an oasis gig was more like being at a riot, liam was making them worse, they weren't in time with each other and the mike kept breaking so u couldn't hear any singing. they were alright but defiantely not £45 worth!!!! seen them 3 times now and although i love them and they will always be special to me i think its safe to say i won't be seeing them again.

the plug sheffield, they were very late coming on, when they came on they were excellent but a guitarist down so pete was singing and strumming at the same time. my mate is like his biggest fan and he was the most excited i've ever seen anyone, it was sweet, we had such a good night despite them taking 45mins to come on stage and then we had to wait 20 mins for the oncore, our taxi was waiting outside for us for half an hour he weren't right happy but we had a sweet time. my excited friend worked himself up so much that he was real sick on the way home.

Nov. 15th, 2005 10:34 am alice cooper & twisted sister

when i was growing up i lived with my mum and stepdad, my stepdad is a proper metal head, we used to listen to metal all the time at home, i always used to love twisted sister, when i was about 8 i thought they were the coolest. my stepdad bought me a ticket to go and see them at sheffield arena last year, it was amazing, they still looked the same and the lead singer is about 50 and he still definatley has it. dint get to see alice cooper much though cos my sister came and she took ill and was taken away by the paramedics but saw some of it and it was a dissapointment. thought it would be all theatrical and exciting and it was just a bit old and tired. alice was not rocking that night.

at the plug in sheffield, got there late so missed support band (milburn)- gutted. but monkeys were fantastic, we were stood at the very back of the room and the whole room was jumoing and dancing, i've never in all my years been to a gig like it. it was madness. everyone sang along to all the songs adn the atmosphere inside the place was like nothing i've ever experienced before. the band were fantastic but it was the atmosphere that made it one of my most favorite gigs ever.
